Preksak, often referred to by his alias The Observer, was a scientist who worked with Asymptonic prior to his confinement on the world of the Artifact. He wanted to take the glory for one of their projects from him, and locked Asymptonic on the world of the Artifact by tampering with his Knife. As a result he is indirectly responsible for all Slicers being trapped by the Artifact after they come looking for Asymptonic. He has advanced Slicer technology at his disposal which he has used to varying degrees of success in his attempts at permanently destroying Asymptonic and the Slicers confined with him. He has on many separate occasions used Knife technology to appear and wreak havoc on Slicers across the worlds, and as a result has become a symbol of terror to many of the Slicer cultures which have arisen throughout the Ages. He is the primary enemy of all Slicers who have sought to escape the Artifact's influence and return to their place of origin, along with their allies such as the Guardians and Cryptite. He has often been aided and fought alongside his biological son Drixan, whose origins and motives remain a mystery.
In recent Ages Preksak has been believed killed by the explosion which destroyed the world of the Artifact, and has been replaced by mechanical Artifices which appear as exact copies of him, apart from their glowing red eyes. However, recent evidence has shown that the original Preksak may have survived the destruction of the world of the Artifact.
Ak[]
An Artifact of Preksak managed to arrive on Ak after the World Bomb destroyed the world of the Artifact. He initially arrived after the Slicer Andrekeroxd managed to construct a functional knife, which Preksak used as a gateway onto Ak in order to begin another destructive rampage. He appeared in Pallet City, where the Knife was located, and remained there for some time in consultation with the Outlaws, who were eager to gain his favor and betray their fellow Slicers. The Artifice voiced its intention to create another World Bomb, a plan which was foiled by the efforts of Cryptite and numerous Slicers at the cost of much of the Nether. Soon afterwards, the Artifice's rudimentary lab on Ak was discovered and destroyed after a young Slicer called Scooter sacrificed herself in the final explosion. His closest attempt to true apocalypse was the Battle of the Spire, where he planned to kill all inhabitants of Ak with the Accelerator Spire, but he was miraculously stopped by Cryptite and the goddess Freyjia, who managed to destroy the Artifice in an climactic final battle.
Possible return[]
Many speculate and prepare for the long-feared return of Preksak, even though it is still not a certainty. It is known that Preksak has a lab on another world, which was glimpsed during the exodus from the Blight on Ak. It appeared as a massive silver room, with hundreds of glass cells each containing a Preksak Artifice. It is not known if the operator(s) of this lab will be able to track the Lokans to the new world.

Return of Preksak and Fixing the Past
Preksak had in fact survived the explosion of the Artifact and was in his lab as seen by some who glanced into the world during the exodus from the Blight on AK. Preksak plotted revenge against Cryptite and using a knife dedicated to use of time travel made by an alternate reality version of himself, he travelled back in time and killed Cryptite at the Battle of the Spire. Along with his loyal cyborg servants, the Head Hunters he established his rule in the far future of the Third Age, where everyone born into the world of Loka, became slaves or cyborgs. This version of the Third Age was dark, with the sky the same colour of the End and ruined buildings and fields everywhere. As a result of his time travel, he saved only a select few to restart civilization in the far future. This included MagPieMan, who he sent into exile as punishment for him failing to stop him and as a way to taunt and torture him over his loss. He also built an obsidian spire, reaching up to the Heavens, in order to travel back in time to the Big Bang and reach the Supreme Being of all the Multiverse, the One Who Sits. A token resistance group consisting of Skuhoo, SilentStormSix and Adzy were the only opposition left to fight him. The Dark Spire was powered by his most trustworthy piece of technology, his compass, which shot a beam piercing into the sky and into the barriers between time and reality. He also travelled back in time and captured 13Scooter13 right before she died sacrificing herself in the original Battle of the Preksak's Lab, as he needed the life force of her and the original Guardians, Mopb3, Gallius, DiabolicalMech and MagPieMan in order to travel back in time to the Big Bang and pierce the realm of the One Who Sits.
He built the Spire in order to change a fixed point in time, the death of his son, Drixan from happening at some point in the future, as actions Cryptite made during the Battle of the Spire, lead to the unforeseen death of Drixan in the far future. How he died is yet to be determined. He also wished to gain the power of the One Who Sits as they saw him as weak and meek, and not worthy of the power of the Supreme Being. Preksak also sought to remake the multiverse in his image, an Eden for all where Loka and the Guardians don't exist and his son is still alive. It was also destined for Preksak to win, as MagPieMan altered history in order to ensure the survival of Loka and that all of Loka after the Third Age had been an alternate timeline and that Preksak winning the Battle of the Spire was the correct way history was meant to go. MagPieMan altered history by using the same research and technology that Preksak got from his alternate "good" counterpart that he used to return things were actually meant to be. He sent Freyjia earlier than she was meant to arrive to help Cryptite win the Battle of the Spire. Preksak had altered history by having his Head Hunters behead Cryptite when he was in his prison cell during the Battle of the Spire.
But thanks to the actions of MagPieMan, he stole the shard of the knife that allowed time travel and gave it to WizardTeePot before Preksak altered the the timeline to be given to Commander_12 of New Auru. because of the stolen one. Preksak altered the timeline using another copy of the same knife. Commander awoke in an alternate version of his home timeline, MineZ, where the world of Grimdale had not fallen to the living dead. As A result of him remembering how things were supposedly meant to be, he realized Preksak had somehow altered time and returned him to his original timeline. Because Commander was not from Loka originally, he held a unique temporal status that allowed him to sense when timelines had been changed or altered. Thus, thanks to the indirect actions of MagPieMan, Commander_12 was sent on a quest to find the original Guardians and assemble a team from across the multiverse in order to stop Preksak and save all of existence. The Guardians, expect for MagPieMan who was captured by Preksak after the Battle of the Spire went into exile across various universes in the multiverse out of shame of losing the Battle of the Spire. It's now up to Commander and friends to save all of existence and stop Preksak from reaching the One Who Sits.
